Online Presentation – Retirees Rejoining the Workforce

For help making an informed decision, join the online presentation (in French only) given by Revenu Québec, the Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale (MESS) and Retraite Québec on July 9, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

   • Incentives for experienced workers to stay employed or for retirees to rejoin the workforce
   • Organizations and public services providing employment counselling
   • Employment assistance officers
2. Financial considerations under the Québec Pension Plan (QPP)
   • Option to stop contributing to the QPP at 65
   • Contributions stop after 72 if you’re working
3. Tax considerations for experienced workers
   • Income (Guaranteed Income Supplement, QPP pension)
   • Deductions (deduction for retirement income transferred to your spouse, etc.)
   • Tax credits and social programs (the effect of employment income on certain credits and programs)
   • Contributions to government programs and Québec prescription drug insurance plan premiums
