If your child goes to unsubsidized daycare, you may be eligible for advance payments of the tax credit for childcare expenses to help you plan your monthly budget.
Important dates
October 16 | Deadline for applying for advance payments for 2023. After that, you’ll have to wait to claim the tax credit for childcare expenses in your income tax return. |

October 19 | Opening of the online service for applying for advance payments for 2024. |
December 1 | Deadline for filing the complete application if you’d like to receive 12 equal monthly payments starting in January 2024. If you file your application after the deadline, the amount will be spread over the number of months remaining in the year after your application has been processed. |
How to apply
Complete your application online using My Account for individuals. It’s fast, and you can update information in your file if you apply again next year. Or you can mail us your application.
